Nordfyn Beaches FAQ
Can I use a metal detector? Can I bring my dog to the beach? Find answers to your questions about Nordfyn’s beaches here.
Can I use a metal detector on the beach?
No – private individuals aren’t allowed to use metal detectors on Nordfyn Municipality’s public areas. This includes municipal beaches like Hasmark and Flyvesandet, as well as municipal forests and other undeveloped natural areas.
You can search on private land if you have clear permission from the owner (for example a landowner or farmer).
Please always be considerate of nature and other visitors.
Can I bring my dog to the beach?
Unless the signs say differently, dogs can run freely on the beach without a leash from the beginning of October to the end of March, as long as the dog does what you say and does not bother other animals or people. In the summer season, the dog must be kept on a leash on most beaches. Please note that there are special rules for Blue Flag beaches.
Can I bring my dog to a Blue Flag beach?
Dogs are not allowed to go into the water at Blue Flag beaches. They must be kept on a leash while walking on the furthest part of the beach from the Blue Flag zone so that you can walk past the Blue Flag beach far away from people bathing.
Can I bring the dog with me for a walk in the woods?
You can bring your dog with you to nature areas and woods, as long as the dog is on a leash. Please check the signs to see the rules. Only in special dog forests is the dog allowed to run freely.
