Hofmansgave Beach at Enebærodde

Hofmansgave Beach is right where Funen turns into the narrow, beautiful Enebærodde peninsula – the perfect base for your day by the water.

Hofmansgave Beach is located at Halshusene, right by the path to Enebærodde. The beach is about 400 meters long and 20-25 meters wide, so there’s plenty of room to spread out your beach blanket. You’ll find lovely sand here (and the mandatory small and large stones for skimming). Along the coast, there are stone jetties, and you'll see the same large stones lining the dike.

From June 1st to mid-September, the Blue Flag is flying – your guarantee of clean bathing water and great conditions. Tables and benches are available, so you can enjoy your lunch with a view of the Kattegat sea.

Practical info:

  • Parking: You’ll find a large parking lot at the end of Tygesvej (near Østerballe).
  • Facilities: There are public toilets right by the parking area, so you don’t have to worry about your next stop.
  • Directions: Set your GPS to Tygesvej. This is also where people park when heading out for the 12 km hike around Enebærodde.
  • Dogs on the beach: From June 1st to September 15th (Blue Flag season), dogs are not allowed to stay on the sand or swim (service dogs excepted). You may walk through the back of the beach with your dog on a leash. Outside this period, dogs are welcome on a leash.

More than just a dip

When you’re done enjoying the water and sand, more adventures are waiting right in the "backyard":

  • Enebærodde: Walk or bike out onto the peninsula. Remember, cars aren't allowed here – it’s pure nature, silence, and maybe a glimpse of the grazing cattle.
  • Hofmansgave Park: Nearby, you’ll find the Hofmansgave manor. Take a stroll in the beautiful park (open to everyone) or check out the unique Potato Museum.

Remember: Take care of our nature, bring your trash with you, and enjoy the fresh sea air!

See you on:
