The Green Clover Leaf Route in Skåstrup is 3.1 km long and a lovely walk through the old, cosy village.

The route through the village

The old village of Skåstrup has kept its village pond, old houses and original street layout. So on this short route, you head out on a really cosy little walk through an old Funen village.

Today, Skåstrup Strand is best known as a holiday home area, but the village has existed for many years. As the burial mounds show, people have lived in this fertile area for thousands of years.

The route also takes a short detour past the lovely woods, where you can enjoy the birdsong.

Along the way, you also pass the highest point for miles around: Mount Mejlskov. Walk up to the top and see how far you can see. Mount Mejlskov is the local sledging hill, and at the foot of the hill there are also shelters and a fire pit where you can relax and enjoy the coffee or cocoa you have brought with you.

A few extra tips for the trip

Bring food and drinks, as there are no restaurants or kiosks along the route.
If you have children with you, you can stop by the shelters at Mount Mejlskov and play in the woods.
Bring waterproof shoes or boots if it is raining.
There is usually parking by the village hall at Skåstrupvej 49. Otherwise, there are also plenty of parking spaces at Skåstrup Strand, which is close by.
