Along the route
The Red Clover Leaf Trail in Søndersø passes the industrial area of Søndersø, where you will find, among other things, the crisp factory that produces KiMs crisps and has been based in Søndersø since 1971.
Along the route, you head out into the countryside, past rolling fields and both old and new farms, and through the old, idyllic villages of Vedby and Veflinge.
Margård
You also pass part of Margård Forest, which offers a little peace and quiet beneath the tall tree canopies, and then you come to an elegant white building. This is Margård Manor, first mentioned in 1310 under the name Margaard.
The estate has been owned by several families over the years. Among them was the noble Bryske family, who owned the estate from the middle of the 15th century and well into the 17th century.
Farming still takes place here today, and the beautiful woodland is also used for woodland burials.
Vigerslev
You also pass the pretty little Vigerslev Church, which was built in the 12th century.
There are benches in several places along the route. You can also bring a blanket to spread out if you would like to take a short break.
If you want to bring tasty sandwiches, snacks and drinks for the trip, there are several grocery shops in Søndersø close to Byparken and by the roundabout at Odensevej.
