Guided tour of the gallery town Bogense for groups
Join an artistic city walk for groups in the gallery town of Bogense where you visit selected galleries, meet the artists, hear the stories behind the works and enjoy the cosy atmosphere.
It is no coincidence that Bogense has earned the nickname Gallery Town Bogense. The small cosy market town has attracted many galleries and artists with its idyllic atmosphere and beautiful location.
In the town centre the galleries line up like pearls on a string. You join a guided tour to galleries and artists of your choice. As you walk through the town to the different galleries, the guide tells you a bit about Bogense and the artists welcome you inside and share the stories behind their works on an inspiring visit.
Visit artists and galleries in Bogense
Most of the town’s galleries are happy to welcome groups, although a few have limited space.
On this suggested tour you visit Galleri 55 and Gallerie Rasmus, both showing works by acclaimed Danish and international artists. At Gallerie Rasmus you also meet local artist Malene Hammershøj who exhibits here. You then visit artist Martin Massenbach who shows you around his own fascinating Galleri Massenbach.
The tour finishes in the private home of painter Bella Husted who invites you into her studio and charming town house and offers a small refreshment.
We can also combine the tour with a visit to Galleri Øst, an innovative gallery with works by several different artists. It is also possible to visit Kunstnerhjemmet just outside Bogense, the home of Else Friis and Jørn Anderson, where you can enjoy visual art and woodturning and refreshments by agreement.
On the walk between the galleries you visit Manneken Pis in Bogense and the guides tell stories about the old part of town you are walking through.
If you get hungry, it is a good idea to combine the tour with a meal at one of Bogense’s cafés or restaurants. We are happy to book a table for your group.
