Vigelsø is a car-free island in Odense Fjord and a lovely choice for a family day out with a ferry trip, birdlife and a packed lunch. The trip starts at Klintebjerg Harbour, where the ferry Lunden sails to the island on selected days during the season. Check the ferry timetable for Vigelsø before you go. The crossing only takes a few minutes, but it makes the outing feel special for children.
Turn the trip into a full family day

- Pack a big packed lunch and plenty of drinks.
- Bring binoculars so the children can look for birds.
- Bring a pull-along wagon if needed for small children and bags.
