Come behind the scenes: Talk with the Flower Man Johnny Haugaard

When Johnny Haugaard works, nature, art and sky-high ambitions come together. But how do you turn thousands of organic materials into a sensory and poetic universe? And where do the wild ideas come from?

At this talk, you are invited right into the creative process in the castle’s historic Knights’ Hall. With humour, warmth and big gestures, Johnny shares the deeper thoughts behind “The Rose”. He talks about his fascination with nature’s materials – from the most beautiful rose petals to raw roots and thorns – and not least about the amazing community of creative volunteers who have helped bring the ideas to life.

• Please note that the talk and the flower exhibition are two separate events.
• The talk takes place in the Knights’ Hall at the castle and requires a specific ticket.

Practical information

• Place: The Knights’ Hall, 2nd floor, at Harridslevgaard Castle, Assensvej 3, 5400 Bogense.
• Price: DKK 75 per person, including a lovely cup of coffee or tea.
• Accessibility: As the talk takes place on the 2nd floor of the castle, access is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties.
• Times for the talk:
• Every day, 24 July–9 August: 11.30 am–12.45 pm
• Every day except 1 and 2 August, 24–31 July and 3–9 August: 2.00–3.15 pm
• Sunday 2 August, during the Rose Festival: separate evening talk from 5.00–6.15 pm
