North Funen's Viking Market offers crafts, Viking food and mead in calm, authentic surroundings in the Glavendrup Grove. It’s all about being present in the moment, staying curious, and enjoying good old-fashioned craftsmanship.
Stalls
In the stalls you’ll find historically inspired treats and handmade goods with roots in the Viking Age. Meet passionate storytellers, hear the stories behind what they make, and see how the past comes alive up close.
Activities
For kids there’s a straw fortress and a warrior school, where they can try shields and wooden swords in a safe setting.
During the day you can also watch Viking warriors in combat shows, where skill and storytelling bring history closer.
In 2026, the market will welcome a Viking boat builder for the first time, bringing along his own hand-built Viking ship. It’s a smaller ship — but the real thing — and a rare chance to get close to Viking maritime craftsmanship.
