Bus Trip to Kongsdal Open Garden

Kongsdal Garden is among the most beautiful in Denmark. The owner is happy to show you around and share the history of how he built and cares for this impressive estate. There are plenty of tables and seats for an entire group to sit back and enjoy a packed lunch together.

Spanning over 20,000 m², this fantastic garden is meticulously maintained by the owner himself.

It features more than 900 wonderful roses, majestic trees, a 500 m² idyllic lake with waterfalls and fountains, and stunning rhododendrons. The garden is designed in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape, set in beautiful rolling hills with views of fields and forests. You will also find memorial stones from World War II here.

The garden was named Denmark's most beautiful garden in 2016. In 2021, it was specially selected by The Danish Club as one of the 50 most beautiful gardens in Denmark!

Enjoy a Break in Beautiful Surroundings

There are many cozy seating areas throughout the garden where guests can enjoy their own packed lunch and coffee, or simply lose themselves in the birdsong and the sound of the fountains. Indoor seating is also available in the charming "henhouse." The owner greets you personally and loves to share stories about how the garden is constantly evolving and being renewed. A trip to Kongsdal Open Garden is perfect to combine with other stops; for instance, a visit to Bogense, Denmark’s coziest market town, where you can enjoy lunch at one of the lovely local eateries.
