Enjoy a day out during the winter holiday at Thorslundgård and get close to history in the beautiful rooms - and join outdoor activities where both kids and adults can play, learn and use their senses.
Thorslundgård is a living museum, and during the winter holiday there’s even more to experience. Inside, you can wander through the historic rooms, hear about winter work, everyday life and traditions – and enjoy a quiet moment while the fire crackles.
For the brave and curious, Thorslundgård opens the door to the secret room, where old tales and exciting stories are told.
Two new rooms on the first floor are also now open to the public!
Outdoor activities for the whole family
Outside, there are plenty of small experiences you can join along the way, for example:
- Make your own bird feeders from the winter’s pine cones
- Learn about the farm animals and what it takes as spring gets closer
- See how the kitchen gardens are prepared for the new season
- Play like they did “back then” – classic games and simple challenges
Apple grafting workshop during the winter holiday
On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday during the winter holiday, you can join an apple grafting workshop and make your very own apple tree.
Choose from the farm’s apple varieties, or bring your own winter cuttings from a tree you really love – and Thorslundgård will help you graft and get your new tree off to a great start.
What’s included in the workshop
- Grafting with your own cuttings (or cuttings provided by the farm)
- A warm drink and a sweet treat afterwards
- 1 rootstock per person included
- Option to buy extra rootstocks for DKK 30 each
- Note: The apple grafting workshop requires a separate ticket.
