Marus Chocolatier in Søndersø

In Søndersø, you’ll find handmade chocolate by chocolatier Maria Martynova. Everything here is crafted with a focus on quality, amazing taste, and a mix of traditional craftsmanship and modern vibes.

Back in the summer of 2023, Maria took over the factory from Rik Ryckeboer, the Belgian local who spent 22 years building the L’Artisan brand. Don't worry, though—the classic L’Artisan chocolates are still made using the original recipes.

At the same time, Maria runs her own brand, Marus Chocolatier, featuring her own recipes and flavor combos inspired by her background as a pastry chef.

Maria handles both brands today—everything is handmade with the same eye for detail. She also whips up custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.

You can grab the chocolates in selected shops across Denmark or buy them directly from the workshop in Søndersø.

Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Thursday: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

During June, July, and August, the chocolatier's shop is open by appointment only.
