Explore three floors filled with magnificent Renaissance and Medieval history
The tour leads visitors through three floors packed with a unique historic atmosphere.
The castle is first mentioned in King Valdemar's Census Book in 1231 as royal property, and legends even connect the site to the famous Viking hero Palnatoke.
The current Renaissance castle was built in 1606 by Breide Rantzau—Governor of Copenhagen and a close friend of King Christian IV.
