Group Tour to the Glavendrup Grove

Visit the Glavendrup Grove and join us for an exciting guided tour! Here, you’ll find the Glavendrup Stone—featuring Denmark’s longest rune inscription—along with several other memorial stones. The stone marks the end of a traditional stone ship and is a fascinating piece of our Viking history.

Come and see Denmark’s longest rune inscription on the Glavendrup Stone, located in the stunning and well-preserved Glavendrup Woods. The inscription is pretty intense—it actually curses anyone who might try to erase the runes or dedicate them to someone else. You can read the full translation when you get there!

The stone marks the end of a massive, beautiful Viking stone ship. It was raised in the 900s by a woman named Ragnhild in memory of her husband, Alle.

Join us for a guided tour! Our guides share gripping stories from the Viking Age and explain the history behind this unique site. You’ll also find Bronze Age burial mounds and monuments commemorating major events in Danish history.
