Full-Day Kayak Tour to Æbelø

Join us on a beautiful and idyllic sea kayaking trip to Æbelø. Experience nature and spend some time exploring this lovely island off the coast of North Funen.

You can spot a rich variety of birdlife, and if you’re lucky, you might even see a white-tailed eagle gliding across the sky. And in the water, you might be lucky enough to be accompanied by porpoises and seals.

When we reach Æbelø, you can explore the island’s beautiful woodland and open plains, as well as spot mouflons and fallow deer.

Programme for the day

• We’ll meet in the car park at Nørrebystrand 10, 5400 Bogense, at 10.00
• The trip itself begins gently, with exercises in the water and an introduction to sea kayaking, where you can get to grips with the kayak.
  • The introduction takes approx. 30 mins.
• The trip to Æbelø takes about 1½ hours
  • All participants will be accompanied the ENTIRE way, there and back
• Once we reach the island, you’ll have the chance to eat the food you’ve brought with you, and you’ll also have the opportunity to explore the island on your own.
• We’ll paddle back as a group by 2.30 pm at the latest
• We expect to return to shore at 4.00 pm, after which we’ll help each other load the sea kayaks back onto the trailer.

Practical information

Please bring:

• Packed lunch
• A full water bottle
• Warm clothing
• Footwear that can get wet

We’ll provide:

• Double kayaks
• Paddles
• Life jackets

Please note: The trip will only go ahead if there are at least 6 participants, and provided that weather and water conditions permit.

You must be at least 15 years old to take part in the trip, or have kayaking experience, and be able to swim at least 200 metres.
