Foraged herbs for summer schnapps at Enebærodde
Experience the flavors of nature on Enebærodde at Odense Fjord and create your own signature schnapps!
Join us for an atmospheric foraging trip on Enebærodde by Odense Fjord, where nature is fresh and green, and summer is just around the corner. Together, you will create the foundation for your very own "Enebærodde schnapps" - infused with the flavors and scents of North Funen’s coastal landscape.
Nature guide Bjarne Kim Petersen will lead the tour through the open heath and coastal terrain, where you will forage for the season’s first herbs, such as glasswort, lady's bedstraw, and other aromatic plants. Along the way, there will be time to enjoy the light, the fresh air, and the peaceful walk through the early summer landscape.
When the tour ends, each participant will take home a bottle of schnapps, allowing the herbs to continue steeping and transform into your very own Enebærodde schnapps - a little piece of North Funen in a bottle.
The guide will help you identify and pick the best herbs for schnapps, sharing tips on which herbs pair well together and how to extract the best flavor. As part of the experience, each participant will receive a bottle of clear schnapps, a jar for the herbs and schnapps, and a recipe. Along the way, Bjarne Kim will also share stories about the nature and history of Enebærodde while you enjoy the views over Odense Fjord and the Kattegat.
