Flight Fantastic Festival – big airshow on 30 August

Bring the whole family along for an unforgettable Sunday packed with spectacular flying displays in the air and plenty of fun activities on the ground.

• Impressive shows in the air: Look forward to spectacular flying displays, parachute jumps, formation flying and thrilling aerobatics. The sky will be filled with everything from majestic vintage aircraft and agile display planes to modern gliders and gyrocopters.
• Plenty happening on the ground: HCA Airport will be transformed into a large activity area. Children can join in fun activities and competitions, and you can take a look around the exciting aircraft exhibitions and stands.
• Step back in time: Meet authentic reenactment groups and experience up close how the resistance movement fought against the German occupying forces during the occupation.
• Food and drinks: No need to pack lunch. At the venue, you can buy and enjoy delicious food and cold drinks from the many food stalls – with something for every taste.

A whole month of aviation: Enjoy the lead-up on Nordfyn

Flight Fantastic Festival was created to show the wide range of Danish aviation and spark interest in flying, education and careers in aviation. Before the big airshow on Sunday, you can warm up with several exciting events throughout August:

• 13–16 August: Vintage Aerobatic World Championship at HCA Airport: Follow an official world championship in aerobatics, where some of the world’s most skilled pilots show impressive flying skills and precision in beautiful classic vintage aircraft.
• 21–23 August: Bush Rally on Nordfyn: A different kind of flying competition, where specially built STOL aircraft compete in short take-offs and landings. Get close to the aircraft when they land, among other places, on a field near Søndersø, where you can also meet the pilots.
• 29 August: Aviation Day at HCA Airport: The day before the big airshow, the focus is on flying, careers and education. Meet flying schools, air sports associations and pilots, listen to interesting talks and enjoy different flying activities and demonstrations.
