Funen Regatta for Old Sailing Ships in Bogense
Bogense's old harbour is something very special, and on the weekend of 20 and 21 July it will be extra special. Bogense is once again the starting town for the beautiful regatta for old ships, where more than 50 old wooden ships sail around Funen in a friendly race.
In recent times, North Funen and Bogense have been favoured by Fyn Rundt for Preservation Worthy Ships in 2018, 2019 and 2022. Being the starting town is something very special and the ships arrive during Saturday/Sunday, and on Monday morning at 10:00 the traditional and friendly competition on the water starts.
So stop by Bogense Harbour and get up close to the beautiful old wooden ships and the people who sail on them. There will be music, delicious food, lots of maritime atmosphere and activities throughout the weekend.
On Sunday 21 July, there will be activities for children, cosy stalls and maritime experiences for the whole family. At the same time, the 90th birthday of Borgen's famous sculpture Manneken Pis will be celebrated with music, birthday songs, brunsviger pastry and flags.
